Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

Welcome to Good Paws Academy. By booking any of our group classes, puppy school courses, or one-to-one training sessions, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Our goal is to provide a safe, positive, and highly effective learning environment for you and your dog.

2. Booking and Payment

• All training services must be booked and paid for in advance to secure your place.
• Payments are processed securely, and your spot in a class or a private session is only confirmed upon receipt of full payment.
• Course fees for group classes and puppy school are strictly non-refundable once the course has commenced.

3. Cancellations and Rescheduling

We understand that plans can change. To ensure fair access to our schedules and trainers, please adhere to our cancellation policy:

• One-To-One Training: A minimum of 48 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule a private session without penalty. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled time will be charged at the full rate.
• Group Classes & Puppy School: If you must withdraw from a scheduled course, please notify us at least seven days before the start date for a full refund. No refunds are available for cancellations made less than seven days before the course begins.

4. Health, Safety, and Vaccinations

The health and well-being of all attending dogs is our top priority.

• All dogs participating in our programs must be completely up to date with their core vaccinations. You will be required to show valid proof of vaccination at your first session.
• If your dog is unwell, showing signs of infectious illness, or is in season, please do not bring them to the training facility. Contact us immediately to discuss alternative arrangements or to catch up on missed training material.
• We proudly use positive, reward-based training methods. Harsh handling, punitive methods, or the use of restrictive equipment (such as prong collars or choke chains) are entirely prohibited during all sessions.

5. Handler Responsibilities

• Dogs must remain on a secure lead at all times unless explicitly instructed otherwise by a trainer in a secure area.
• Handlers are completely responsible for their dog's behavior and must clean up after them immediately. Please ensure you carry adequate waste bags to all sessions.
• Children are very welcome to attend sessions to observe and learn, but they must be accompanied, closely supervised, and guided by a responsible adult at all times.

6. Liability

While Good Paws Academy takes every precaution to ensure a strictly safe training environment, dog behavior can sometimes be unpredictable. By enrolling in our services, you accept full responsibility for your dog's actions and agree that Good Paws Academy, its owners, and its instructors shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, or damage to persons, property, or dogs that occurs during or after training.
